History

Green Leaf Corp, founded in 1979 by Manfred Menninger (formerly with CH. Langner Furniere) has been exporting logs and veneers all over the world.  Our family has been in the timber business for over 5 generations, and currently the company is run and owned by Gordon Menninger and has been renamed Green Leaf Logs, LLC.

1970’s

CH Langner Company in Winsen, Germany was conveniently located next to a large veneer mill and enabled convenient slicing of all kinds of exotic veneers. This picture shows Manfred with a huge Mahogany veneer log from Brazil. A branch office was opened up in 1979 in Fairfield, Ohio USA and Green Leaf Corp was born.

Move to the United States

In 1982 Manfred decided to move his family from Germany to the United States in order to slice White oak veneer and export logs back to Europe. Green Leaf Corp settled in Fairfield, Ohio to be close to the best growing regions for white oak and walnut.

Burls, Burls, Burls

In the early 1990’s our focus shifted over to walnut burls which were used extensively for luxury car interiors (Rolls Royce, Bentley, Mercedes Benz among others) as well as private airplane and yacht interiors.

Walnut logs

Since the mid 1990’s we have focused our efforts and specialized in the export walnut logs used in the production of high end furniture and flooring. Logs are sourced in the best growing regions of the USA and shipped overseas in containers.
